Fellow Sojourners gather together in small cohorts to learn, follow and encourage one another in following Jesus and being shaped into His’ likeness.

Who is a Sojourner Cohort best suited for?

Any believer that seeks to grow in experiencing God in a deeper way.

Any believer that feels like their current spiritual practices lack the peace and transformation they desire.

Contemplative

Any believer that wants to learn Christian contemplative practices for personal growth.

Community

Any believer that is looking for a small and committed group of believers learning to apply their faith in active relationships with each other.

What does a Sojourner cohort look like?

Each of our cohort groups follow a similar format to start.

What does each Sojourner cohort actually do?

Daily

  • Practicing the ancient prayers of the church each day.
  • Learning how to engage with the Holy Spirit in prayer to grow in your own spiritual awareness.
  • Reflecting in daily conversation with Jesus through use of a prayer journal.

Weekly

  • Joining with the community in prayer and encouragement once a week.
  • Learning how to apply contemplative Christian practices to your everyday life.
  • Meeting one-on-one with a spiritual companion for mutual prayer and confession.

Monthly

  • Meeting once a month with a Spiritual Director for spiritual formation and discernment.
  • Discovering new ways to serve, explore God in nature, practice Shalom, and more.

Individual Requirements

Each individual joining a cohort is asked to follow these general requirements first.

Apply

Each person must apply to the program and go through a simple interview process.

Affirm

Each participant must personally confess faith in the Apostle’s Creed and their commitment to Jesus as Lord.

Commit

Must be willing to commit to the cohort format for at least one semester (Fall or Spring).
